Philippine Billiard Players Ranking (Q2 - 2006)

Before the action sizzles in the second half of the year, let us visit our Pinoy Billiard rankings. New Pinoy hotshot Dennis Orcullo continues to sizzle. The Magician, still doing great as usual. And another Filipino-Canadian enters the ranking as forer World 9-Ball Champion, Alex Pagulayan, joins the fray. So here are our heroes along with their accomplishments this year:

1. Dennis "Surigao" Orcullo [1]
Dennis continues his hot streak for 2006. He is the latest champ of the prestegious Reno Open. He also dominated in the Hard Times Summer Jamboree.

1st - World (9-Ball) Championship Bar Table Tournament
1st - US Bar Table Championship, 8-Ball
1st - 43rd Annual Reno Open

2. Efren "Bata" Reyes [3]
The Magician still has it. Lately, he topped the 2006 Asian 9-Ball Tour Vietnam Leg.

1st - Derby City Classic, One Pocket Event
1st - 2006 Asian 9-Ball Tour Ho Chi Minh City Leg

3. Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan [New]
The Lion just woke up. After a lackluster 1st quarter, Alex reached the championship round for a couple of major tournaments. He placed runner-up for both the 2nd SML Open 9-Ball Championship and the World Pool Masters.

4. Antonio "Nickoy" Lining [2]
No new accomplishments for Nickoy after topping the Japan Open 9-Ball Billiards Championship.

5. Edwin Montal [4]
No news from the Filipino-Canadian after doing good in the US Bar Table Championship.
