Filipinos Conquered Japan - Lining New Japan Open Boss
Tokyo, Japan - Filipinos conquered Japan through the billiard table, this as Antonio "Nickoy" Lining took top honors in the just concluded 2006 Japan Open 9-Ball Billiards Championship.
Lining defeated compatriot Don Don Razalan, who took home Y600,000 or approximately $5,000, in the finals with the score of 9-3.
Before the all-Filipino final, Nickoy bested the Filipino legend and defending champion, Efren "The Magician" Reyes in the tune of 9-4 in the quarterfinals.
Antonio took home Y1,500,000 or around $13,000 for winning the event.
